Certificate III in Accounts Administration (FNS30311)
Who is this course for?
Participants of the Certificate III in Accounts Administration will generally be either seeking work as an accounts clerk or are already employed and seeking to upgrade their skills in the industry. The program covers key areas including entering financial data, accounts payable/receivable, processing payroll, maintaining a general ledger and producing financial reports. The course is a prerequisite for the Cert IV in Bookkeeping and the Cert IV in Accounting.
What is accounts administration?
An accounts administrator can do the basics of accounting within a business along with the specialised administration needs of a company's accounting department. Accounts clerks can work in such areas as an accounts payable clerk, accounts receivable clerk and payroll clerks and will be able to prepare financial reports, create and use spreadsheets, and set up and use a computerised accounting system such as the MYOB software. The Certificate III in Accounts Admin will also lead you on a pathway towards becoming a fully fledged Bookkeeper or Accountant.

How will I be assessed?
To gain the qualification in accounts administration you will have to pass a number of practical and workplace (or simulated workplace) assessments. The assessments for this course are based on both formal and informal processes as required by the government.

- Administer subsidiary accounts and ledgers
- Perform financial calculations
- Work effectively in the financial services industry

- Set up and operate a computerised accounting system
