Who is this course for?
Participants will generally be either seeking work in accounts administration or are already employed and seeking to upgrade their skills in the industry. The program covers key areas including entering financial data, accounts payable/receivable, processing payroll, maintaining a general ledger and producing financial reports.

How will I be assessed?
To gain the qualification you will have to pass a number of practical and workplace (or simulated workplace) assessments. The assessments for this course are based on both formal and informal processes as required by the government.
This program is made up of seven core and four elective units of competency:

- Use business technology
- Write simple documents
- Process financial transactions and extract interim reports
- Administer subsidiary accounts and ledgers
- Perform financial calculations
- Work effectively in the financial services industry
Elective Units
- Maintain financial records
- Deliver and monitor a service to customers
- Establish and maintain a cash accounting system
- Set up and operate a computerised accounting system
